If you are unable to work due to physical or mental health issues, report this as quickly as possible to KCS and to your manager, or if they are absent, to their replacement or the secretaries’ office of your department.<\/p>\n

Illness during vacation or collective closure<\/strong>
\nDays on which you were ill during the vacation are not
\ncounted as vacation days. But you have to provide plausible proof that you were really sick during these days.<\/p>\n

The above does not hold for collective closures. Days of collective
\nclosure always count as vacation days, even if you are unfortunately sick on such a day.<\/p>\n

Changing contact information during illness<\/strong>
\nIf your address changes during your illness because you were admitted to a hospital, are getting nursing care elsewhere or for some other reason, you must also report this to KCS and your manager. KCS will inform the Occupational Health and Safety Service.
\nIt is also important if this happens to check the telephone numbers where we can reach you and inform KCS of any changes.<\/p>\n
